Good Morning Teens

20130831-064638.jpg

Just a quick thanks to the drunken teens that blocked our buildings driveway with the love seat from down the way :D

Guess in life everything that goes around does come around…

When I was a drunken teen myself, a group of us went and gathered up some lawn chairs. We quietly (or so we thought) dragged them all a few houses down. To the ‘nasty neighbours’ house. Placed them on her front lawn.

It wasn’t until the next morning, that our dear FRIEND noticed …. They were HER families lawn chairs we placed on that neighbors lawn!

LMAO

It was funnier then

Who am I going to get to help me move this thing?
LOL!

Good thing we don’t own a vehicle —
JOKES on you teens.

No one in the building does!

:D

We’re off to our ‘vacation spot’ enjoy your weekend folks

Lessons while Driving

Each and every time, without fail, that I get the opportunity to drive any friends car, alone, without the children, on a nice day (or not); I cannot help but do a few of the following:

* HONK at cows!
A MUST!are you kidding me! They are the coolest creatures on earth and have a great life. Stand, sit, lye, eat, sleep, Repeat. If I believed in re-incarnation, I’d want to be a cow. (but, not one that would be harmed…) I’d have a bunch of fabulous buddies, hangin in the feilds, chewin complainin chatin, moooo’in; maxin and relaxin. Really! Feed me lots, and let me roam. Having already had, the opportunity to feel like a “milked” cow during breast feeding; I am not sure I’d mind that part very much either! Seriously, HONK AT A COW the next time you see a bunch on a country drive: WATCH their reaction! They really appreciate it!

** SING!
ooohh no, not just sing a tune here and there! I talking half way out the window like a dog on a hot day SING. Like in EVERY video of Mariah Carey type: hair stickin to my poppin lip gloss, beltin it out fearlessly–like I THINK I can actually sing. I cannot sing to save my own life but, I do it anyways!
What I enjoy most is the reactions I get from passerby folks or at the lights. Strangers starring. I just pretend I cannot see their faces. Holding a straight face is a difficult game. Some sing along, give a wave, look at me like I have 3 heads–doesnt change my tone. It is thee only place I know I wont see these people again.
TIP: Epecially fun when driving out of your own town.

*** PRAY:
Praying in a vehicle for me reminds me of when I first got ‘clean and sober’ 7+ years ago and ‘re-found God’ (whom had never left, another post..). There was once of these anonymous ‘poems’ or encouraging writings by someone just circulating around at the time with the suggestion: “..when in doubt, talk to the Empty Chair”. It was some kind of representation for sitting across a seat speaking to Jesus. I LOVED THAT idea, and in fact I used it often. In a vehicle is where I get that opportunity again. A reminder of the fresh newly renewed adoration I had for God that I had back then. I believed then, at any given moment I didn’t ask God to ‘be with me’ that I would die or relapse. “..And to relapse was to die anyway, that is just how it was for us (me)” … Which brings me straight into my next MUST and DRIVE:

*** CRY like a baby:
YEP, drive and cry. Pullover if it’s real bad even. I will cry to any song that has touching words. The beat or tempo has no meaning to me (unless its crap).
I CRY uncontrollably each and every single time I get to drive a friends car. It’s almost pathetic.

LIST OF CRYING SONGS:
“Christmas Shoes” seriously, don’t even try NOT to cry listening to that.
— “Livin On A Prayer” by Bon Jovi
(Original Version is nothing compared to live!)that’s another one of those ‘early sobriety songs’ for me.

TODAY, specifically THIS song HIT me in the HEART:

These are the words. No matter what “Genre” you care for, this song spoke to my core. The ‘humane being’ in me.
I don’t expect you to like it. agree with it…even listen to the words.
This was my moment today. In my experience, this was the uncontrollable cry for me today in particular.
(Here is the link to the words to read of the song.)

I can barely put into words what I felt inside today. About myself. About life. About people I knew. About humanity at it’s worst and it’s best. It. Just. Hit. Me. Hard. link to YouTube.
Close Your Eyes and Imagine Your Children.

I have never heard this before.
It’s an old one: According to my teen.
Take a listen here; or read the words.

THE LAST Song was: “People Like Us” by Kelly Clarkson I have never heard before. In the moment I needed an upbeat song! It fit the bill and I pretended to know the words as I sang….(listen or watch video below)
Instantly, I started thinking of my WordPress Family and friends. All of you! I don’t have time to list you all. Besides, you know who you all are. Not picking favs but a must mention Sista feels like an extended missing family member!

Driving lesson for today:
LISTEN, drive safe, pray, smile, laugh, have fun —
and SING REALLY LOUD when you drive!!!

What crazy stuff do you do while driving? Have you seen anyone like me drive near you? What is your first thought or reaction? Share your Comment below! We all love to hear them!

See ya’s later My Herd,

be you

20130628-170328.jpg

Just a quick reminder of inspiration to my WP friends, before we start out on our Canadian Canada Day long Weekend celebrations:

“be you”

During the times in our lives when we’re most interested in others and the world around us, we can be lead to disbelieve in our own powers, for whatever reason. I am guilty of constantly comparing my self to others blog writers, and guilty of not giving my-SELF, enough credit.

I am who I am.
I have been through many of my life’s own unique personal experiences, that have created me, as I am. Today.

Chose to “be you”, embrace you, remember you, and be confident in each and every little piece, that makes you. You are whole. You are unique. You are allowed to “be you”.

Blessed Weekends, to All of my friends, WP Family, and followers,

Mila Johnson

I purchased this blog space which was going to years ago, contain my personal opinions on all things. Thought myself a smart, intelligent, well-experienced person, whom had much to offer the world of blogging. As I read and as time passed, I discovered I am just a girl with words to share and much to learn….

an unforgettable soft smile

vanished, Mila Johnson from Brampton, Ontario, Canada
why…?

I didn’t start contributing posts to this blog until, around the date she went missing.
A close friend of my extended family was missing their teenage daughter, Mila Johnson. She was gone. She left her home one day, nothing different from any day before and she wasn’t heard from again. Just gone. VANISHED. Having spent some time with this teen myself (not much but) enough that I couldn’t ever forget the smile on her face; I couldn’t help but get involved any way I could in sharing in the search for her safe return.

I had a Twitter account for years. Never touched it. Mila’s disappearance was the reason I started using that account. Creating ‘Our Missing Youth’ I dedicated much time tweeting, tweeting, and re-tweeting, to the media, volunteers, friends, twitter handles for the missing, organizations; anyone that would listen, re-tweet and or share my original blog posting of Mila’s disappearance! Just a few days later, there were over 3,000 people joining together in a Facebook Group dedicated to finding Mila Johnson.

All anyone could think about was Mila, missing…trying to empathize, I only did what I would want the world to do if one of my children ever went missing. Wether you knew Mila or not, she has a sweetness present in her photos, that is unforgettable. I could hear the sounds of Mila and my nieces giggles, coming from my sisters apartment bathroom. Clearly recalling the sounds of the tweens (then) like yesterday as they played tricks, and hid from the annoyances of the younger children–LOL fully clothed and chatting in the bathtub LOL! ;) Texting, dancing, laughing, and just having fun; things in life normal kids should be doing, at their age. From what I knew of Mila Johnson, she was a quiet, fun-loving, down to earth teen. Blessed with a sweet aura surrounding her, that could soften a person, with just a grin. I remember little Mila’s baby face, and as if almost through magical sparkles, her childish spirit glowed through her eyes… An innocent child…

‘Our Missing Youth’…I chose ‘Our’ because, to some extent, the worlds children are all our ‘responsibility’. As adults we are given the job to look out for them, as much as we can, as they grow. We all try our best to be there for them as best we can…Pinterest Board for Mila Johnson

An ending this tragic, a mom losing her baby, a sister losing her best friend, a father without his ‘daddy’s girl’..an unimaginable loss…a day like this, brings a grave sadness over us all that were touched by Mila Johnson–and even the ones that weren’t… Loss of a child moves hearts of the world.

After ten months, finally the Police had results from forensics they had to notify the family about: And just days after ‘Mothers Day’ had to inform the suffereing family that Mila would not be returning home. Brampton newspapers printed this update article here

So I’m writing again about Mila. I am writing in this place to always keep Mila’s memories alive and amungst us here. I am writing about this to keep her family in minds, thoughts, and prayers from others. The world is a better place because of the time you shared with us here. I am writing in memory of you Mila, and keeping a place here especially dedicated to your loving memory. Your space in time was short and you will be deeply missed by many. I write this in respect and support for the parents and the entire family. I couldn’t say anything to change this but, we send many words of support and offer any assistance to the entire Family of Mila Johnson.

I pray for the families of those with missing loved ones, today and everyday.
Every Mother (and parent) is praying for your Mother Mila.
We pray for your Father, for your Sister, your loving family members,
and friends, that they may find some peace in their hearts, through a loving God.

I pray for all who loved Mila Johnson.
We pray for all who knew Mila and experienced her kindness and friendship.
I pray for the Lord (of their beliefs) to carry their hearts in comfort today; and through each their own,
personal grieving process that lies ahead.

I pray for the family to find strength in each other and that they rely on GOD for their consoling and counsel.
Prayers of love support and un-ending hope for the healing through their future.
May the Lord hold His child, Mila Johnson close, as she has been returned to His hands.
We are grateful for each moment she blessed our lives, no matter how short.
Unfortunately, this is all to real a living nightmare for too many families and we recognize their struggles at this time as well.

All are welcomed to write a message of condolence and support to the family below in the comment area.

GOD BLESS each and every parent and child out there today.

My prayers and hopes for A Seasonal Miracle however, have been restored. Please join me in hope, help, support, in love and search for the remaining missing:
